| USATF has asked all Disabled Sports Organizations (DSO) to send a team or two for exhibitions during the USATF Olympic Trials in Sacramento, California from July 15 through 23. The Olympic Trials is for the team selection for the 2001 Olympics in Sydney, Australia. When we were asked to send some athletes and an event that we wanted to enter, we decided that we would have a good group of 400M sprinters. A 8 male 400M runners team were selected from our own Trials at Gallaudet University from June 21-25. We are slated to run the 400M exhibition on 21st, Friday, at 7:15 PM. USADTF is very excited about this opportunity to make ourselves known and it may help us in many ways down the road. Our DWG Head Coach Hugh Lewis and USADTF President Thomas Withrow will accompany the team to Sacramento, California from July 20 through 23. |
